Regarding ICGID numbers

I notice Jessica Blank is listed with an ICGID=JB-??7W8.

Is the addition of '?' a new thing for ICGID numbers, or an error?

Hi. No, it isn´t an error. It works correctly.

  • Also regarding ICGID numbers - how are they generated and is their syntax?

Jane Doe, born Jan, 1, 1990, being added to the database for the very first time would look like "JD-90xxx". If no last name, it would be JX-90xxx". If no birth date, it would be JD-00xxx".

Is the last xxx part 'randomly generated' based on whatever the next database value is for a new record? Or does the remaining xxx part relate to something else, like photographer, site, etc.

Also, do these ICGID numbers ever change for models? For example, Jane Doe is created without a birth date available. Later, we learn Jane Doe was born in 1990. Would you update "JD-00xxx" to "JD-90xxx" or does that cause too much database chaos? Same question about name changes - if it was Jane Doe, but we learn Jane actually goes by Amy, would "JD-" update to "AD-". I'm assuming once a model is added, that's the ICGID they will have moving forward.

Anyway - just curious if there is more to the naming convention or not!

  • Hi Phil McKrakken.

    • The ICGID is generated automatically when model is created on "theNude" site.
    • The ICGID isn't involved with birthdays.
    • ICGID never change. In the case of merging a duplicate model. The ICGID of the merged model would be eliminated.

I hope this satisfies your curiosity ;)

    Regards.

  • Thank you! My curiosity is satiated!

I was figuring it was an automatic 'next database ID value', but wasn't too sure as a lot of the initial two numbers seem to match the two digit birth year on newer profiles, but not so much on older profiles. I can appreciate the rate of which these sites appear and disappear, along with models appearing across so many different sites, makes coding the ICGIDs based on model information an effort in futility. lol

    Thanks again Erno!
